College The University of Maryland (UM) Terrapins (mounds) football program has had two players in the 2010 NFL Draft, held in April. The school is located in College Park, Maryland had two athletes selected by the National Football League (NFL) franchise in the annual project and these two men:
Bruce Campbell (offensive lineman) - selected in the fourth round with the 106th pick by the Oakland Raiders
Nolan Carroll (cornerback) - collected in the fifth round ofMiami Dolphins as the 145th player selected overall
Maryland Terrapins compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and I am proud to be disciplined for sending young people to play football at the next level. For athletes such as Bruce Nolan and hear their names called during the NFL Draft is a dream come true and the University of Maryland is proud to play a role in turning those dreams into reality.
Bruce Campbell, born in 1988, is a 6'6 "314 pounds Offensive Lineman thatplayed tackle in high school and college, but it is expected that at least as a starting offensive lineman in the interior guard position with the Oakland Raiders. Despite the fact that the height to play offensive tackle the first reports of the Raiders who prefer Bruce comfortable in their attack on a position that lends itself to a smoother transition.
Campbell is expected to wear the number 74 next year for the Oakland Raiders NFL team and coach Tom Cable is excitedthe head of his fourth-round draft selection. Cable Coach Bruce hopes to get on the field early and often, as the Raiders for years have tried to cancel their offensive line to fill. Many analysts agree that the football because of the evils of the recent offensive of Oakland relief can be traced to a porous front five.
Arguably, Nolan Carroll, another University of Maryland 2010 NFL Draft selection, is in many ways an opposite type of player from hisformer teammate Bruce Campbell. Carroll plays offense and defense while Campbell plays, in addition, while Bruce has a huge 6'6 "314 pounds Nolan frame size is a lot of pedestrians 5'11" and 204 pounds.
Before being picked up by the Miami Dolphins to add youth and speed to their secondary Nolan grew up in Florida. Nolan Carroll was born in Green Cove Springs, Florida, in the north-eastern state. After spending five years inMaryland during his stint in college Nolan and his parents (who still live in Florida) are certainly excited to have him back in the Sunshine State.
